Malam Abubakar Abdulkadir, a distinguished professional and Executive Personal Assistant to the Registrar/CEO of the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS).

Born on August 28, 1986, in the ancient city of Zaria, Kaduna State, Mal. Abubakar’s journey is a shining beacon of excellence, illuminating the path to success through his unwavering dedication, unrelenting hard work, and his dedication and quest for achieving greatness.


One thing men of clout have in common is their taxitunity, veracity, resilience and focus on goals -getting ability to deliver on their mandates at all times. Mal Abubakar is in the category of individuals of intrinsic values who is highly outspoken and excellent in public speaking, coordination and communication having been mentored by the result – oriented Professor Yahuza Suleiman Imam, Registrar/CEO, NBAIS. Very accommodative in his dispositions as a humble personality and have penchant for the right to be done always which stands him out among the crowd.

He combines intelligence and exceptional qualities in the discharge of his huge responsibilities by bringing into his work as the Executive PA to his Mentor Professor Yahuza Suleiman Imam, the Registrar/CEO, National Board for Arabic and Islamic studies NBAIS Nigeria. As the man of conviction, he believes in clarity which is the Father of all Openness and unity . His simplicity makes him open to all -oneness and that NBAIS an Examination body has a lot to offer and contributing immensely in education for all which profoundly in alignment with the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda for education for and no should be left behind.

Abubakar is described by his peer groups as a young man of immense worth, intelligent, very energetic and calculative , a man of calm and has the carrying capacity who can work under pressure without supervision. He has proven since saddled with the position of Executive Personal Assistance P/A to the erudite Professor Yahuza Suleiman Imam.

Mal. Abubakar’s educational background is a masterpiece of academic brilliance. He attended L.G.E.A Primary School (UPE) Ungwan Liman Zaria, followed by G.S.S Tukur-Tukur Zaria for his secondary education. He furthered his studies at Nana Aisha Memorial College of Education Ilorin, Kwara State, and Ameer Shehu Idris College of Advanced Study (ASICAS) Zaria. Additionally, he acquired computer skills from Zircon Computer Institute, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, polishing his expertise in the digital realm.

Mal. Abubakar holds a BSc in Business Administration from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Professional Diploma in Education (PGDE). He also possesses a Diploma in Banking and Finance and is currently pursuing an MSc with the National Open University, Kaduna Study Centre. His academic credentials are a testament to his intellectual prowess and commitment to lifelong learning.

Mal. Abubakar Abdulkadir’s career path is a kaleidoscope of diverse experiences. He began working during his one-year mandatory NYSC at the Ministry of Skills Acquisition and Youth Development, Zamfara State, as a classroom teacher at Alhazawa Academy. He later served as an Administrative Officer at Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic Zaria and an Accountant at Nuba Poly Consultancy Services Ltd. Before joining NBAIS in 2016, he worked as an Enrollment Officer at the National Identification Management Commission (NIMC), honing his skills in various fields.

Mal. Abubakar’s skill set includes excellent communication and problem-solving skills, navigating complex challenges with ease. He is a team player with flexibility and computer proficiency, adapting to new environments with finesse. He is an innovative and dependable ally with a strong work ethic, driving projects forward with precision. Mal. Abubakar is trustworthy and able to work in any establishment or organization, building strong relationships and trust.

In his free time, Mal. Abubakar enjoys reading, traveling, and horse riding, exploring new horizons and broadening his perspectives. He is also inspired by his mentor, Prof. Yahuza Suleiman Imam, the current Registrar/CEO of NBAIS, whose guidance and wisdom have shaped his professional journey in life. Abubakar is grateful to the eloquent Registrar/CEO, NBAIS Professor Yahuza Suleiman Imam his mentor.

Mal Abubakar has what it takes to excel anywhere globally due to his deep knowledge in modern day working environment skills, a friend to all , has fantastic listening ears and a natural Coordinator and excellent subordinate or follower who has over hundred percent loyalty to his boss.

Mal. Abubakar has served on various committees, including the NBAIS Staff Audit and Verification Committee and the NBAIS Staffy Promotion Exercise 2024. He is happily married with children and continues to excel in his role as Executive Personal Assistant at NBAIS, leaving an indelible mark on the organization.
