Kaduna Polytechnic (KadPoly) has issued a notification regarding changes to the Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) calendar for 2025. In a letter (Ref: KPT/ITD/75/VOL.L/218) signed by the Coordinator of the Industrial Training Division, Engr. Abubakar Muhammad Ahmadu, the institution informed stakeholders that the Academic Planning Division has adjusted the SIWES commencement date for eligible students.
According to the new schedule, the program will now run from January 12, 2026, to May 1, 2026. The polytechnic expressed concern over reports that many students who had been accepted for SIWES attachments have not received confirmation letters from their host organizations.
In light of this, KadPoly appealed to organizations to expedite the process of issuing acceptance letters to students. The institution also requested the cooperation of these organizations in accommodating students for the SIWES program as scheduled. This, they noted, would enable students to undertake their industrial training and enhance their understanding of their respective fields.
The affected students include those in NCE, ODFel, and B (Tech) Ed regular and evening programs, who were initially expected to start their SIWES between October 13, 2025, and December 12, 2025.
