The Federal Ministry of Education has launched a new initiative to empower Nigerians by engaging retired technical teachers from across the country to serve as Internal Quality Assurance Managers (IQAM) for the TVET Initiative program. This move is part of the present administration’s agenda to offer opportunities for growth and development.

According to a letter dated November 14, 2025, the ministry has approved the engagement of these seasoned educators to support the implementation of the New TVET Initiative. The retired teachers will be involved in teaching critical trade subjects as Subject Matter Experts or serving as IQAM in various TVET institutions, leveraging their decades of experience and specialized technical knowledge to bridge knowledge gaps and maintain high standards.
Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, emphasized the importance of this initiative, highlighting its potential to ensure high-quality standards across TVET institutions nationwide. Interested individuals can contact the National Coordinator on 08033891762 for more information on the initiative.
