I have seen many people jumping out from their borders, just thinking that they have every right to do so. The law is sacrosanct, and it gives all people a share of rights. But when one jumps out of his own right, the bullet hits.
As a civil servant, a journalist by virtue of my profession, and also an academic, I decided to use this medium to make a comment on what happened in what I saw happening in Federal Polytechnic Wannune and give my best advice from the context of our Civil Service Rules, the laws of our constitution, and the ethical conducts that guide our works. The offense committed by the Deputy Rector of Federal Polytechnic Wannune, Benue State, is an unpardonable offense in the Constitution of Nigeria; the offense deserves punishment, termination of service, and arrest to face court charges.
How on earth can a part of the authority of a higher institution act in that way? Where is the knowledge? The academic title? The experience and the Civil Service Rules that guide our conduct? Nigeria is not an island; we have a book of laws, ethics, and values. But with all these guidelines, a PhD title holder in an academic environment chose to abuse her office and commit defamation against the constituted authority of her school, a felony and disrespectful manners on social media for the world to see?
Dr. Ngurumun Doris Mary Lochir, Deputy Rector and Director of Academic Planning of the Federal Polytechnic Wannune, Benue State, has abused her office by posting out confidential documents on social media, in which she is only accusing and alleging offenses against the management, Governing Council members of Federal Polytechnic Wannune, and the 21st Secretary to the Federal Government of Nigeria. I wonder how these people are linked to terrorism and money laundering. Maybe this woman did not know much about these crimes and their nature?
In her August 15, 2025, petition titled “Terrorism, Terrorism Financing, Corruption, and Money Laundering Alarm in Federal Polytechnic Wannune Benue State,” the Deputy Rector outrightly pointed out how she recklessly wanted to cause havoc in the FPW, accusing all the management staff of the institution except only her, putting the crime of others on the management of her school for the crises happening in Benue State. This can really trigger the students of the school to cause mayhem and attack the authority. The petitioner served staff and students of the school in her own defense.
In another petition, dated August 15, 2025, titled “Report of Terrorism, Financing of Terrorism, Corruption, Money Laundering, and other Unlawful Acts, Involving Named People and Affecting Federal Polytechnic Wannune Benue State, Nigeria,” she didn’t give an explicit explanation on the title of the letter, rather than accusations. To set Tetfund free, the Deputy Rector should know that Tetfund money is not for “father Christmas”. When Tetfund disburses money, there must be evidence of the work done before releasing another fund. This allegation is false and cannot hold water. Also, there is no evidence of money laundering and terrorism in her claims although but witch-hunting. This petitioner served EFCC for investigation but she didn’t wait for them to act before coming out to tell the world unverified information just like she didn’t wait for the management of the school to take action, follow due process to report the case of thuggery in the school before she went to the police in sabotage of the Rector.
The video posted on her Facebook account has done more damage than good by damaging the names of people she already submitted petitions against. In the law, exposing any case outside to people which is before lawful authority is a heinous offense.
From the Query Letter dated August 5, 2025, it is shown that the Deputy Rector has been in a feud with the Rector of the school, and from her response, she declined to align with the truth, rather her tongue expressed arrogance, hatred, haughty, and pompous. And her actions on Facebook are a serious misconduct, which is defined as a specific act of very serious wrongdoing and improper behavior, which is inimical to the image of the service and susceptible to investigation and proof. It could lead to dismissal from service.
Her actions also exposed the 21st Secretary to the Federal Government to hatred, ridicule, and accusations of false acts. To ask how much will he get from a polytechnic after he has served as a two-term Governor and also a senator? This is why that petition will only be taken to the dustbin. And her accusations on the appointment of the Rector is baseless and not clear. May be she needs his seat?
The Deputy Rector must write an open apology letter and also post on her social media negating her previous posts. But, she should know her actions have made her incompetent and incapacitated to her present position. Someone must be appointed to her position while court proceedings and investigations are ongoing against her.

Oga that woman is right because no one is compensated promptly in that place before building that school like me and my family nothing is given to us but they are building on our land.
The people are crying and I cry too because that is my father’s land forcefully taken from me, how can you compensate a man that have two wife’s and more than eight children with 4million naira to leave his house and properties in this current economy.
That is what they did to my elder brother.
I have evidence.
Even the evacuation notice I have it.
How do expect him to cope with his family, this is totally weaknesses of the highest other.
You talking here I won’t blame you because you are doing what you’re paid to do.
To that so called Rector GOD ALMIGHTY will do deal with him in a way that he will never gain him back.
