The staff of Kaduna Polytechnic from the College of Environmental Studies have organized a sendforth lunch for Dr. Bashir Ibrahim Bello (IBB) for being appointed the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu.

In his remarks of gratitude, the Rector, Dr. IBB expressed a profound gratitude for the organizers and the attendees of the sendforth event on his behalf. Dr. IBB, explained his journey in Kaduna Polytechnic to NBTE and the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu with full guidance and mentorship. He expressed the challenges of leadership where people send messages and calls. He said he usually woke up and got almost 2000 messages, and begged people not to be offended if he couldn’t pick their calls, but said everyone is in his mind and thanked people for praying for him.
Dr. Fatima Kabir Umar, the Director of Programs, NBTE welcome the guests of the occasion, and said as a former colleague at NBTE, the Rector is a man of dignity and man of his words. She praised the Rector for doing it right almost every time. She charged the Rector to maintain his attitudes and continued to exhibit good values for the progress of his Federal Polytechnic Damaturu.
In his opening remarks, the Dean of the College, Sani Habibu said the Rector is their own and welcomed him for honoring their invitation for the sendforth. He said the event is from individual contributions to celebrate the successes and the good work of one of them. The Dean saluted the Rector for serving the Kaduna Polytechnic very well.
In their goodwill messages, Malam Aliyu Lemu said he was happy for the event to honor a friend, who has been a good fellow of achievements. He said they came to Kaduna Polytechnic at the same time and since that time they have been good friends and worked in different places including NBTE. He said he has been a good worker who has worked diligently with fear of Allah. “I believe that at the end of his tenure as the Rector of Damaturu he will leave the place at its best.”
Abraham Dandok, Deputy Registrar, CES, said Dr. Ibrahim Bashir Bello has been a perfect gentleman who bears a lot for the progress of others.
“We pray you will serve as the good ambassador of Kaduna Polytechnic. God will guide you through your tenure,” Dandok said
Architect Olaniyi, applauded the kind conduct of Dr. IBB for being a good person. He said for being a good person that honored and applauded the Rector for honoring their invitation to celebrate Christmas carol with them and appreciated the Rector for offering employment opportunities to other staff of Kaduna Polytechnic.
Dr. Sunday Ako expressed the good conduct of the Rector and said he is a good personality that has been exhibiting professionalism in his work, and prayed to God to guide him.
The Head of the Department of Land and Survey unveiled the biography of Dr. Ibrahim Bashir, describing as a young visionary worker who raised from the grass to grace.
Professor Yahya Sale said Dr. IBB contributed so much for the improvement of the College and said the organizers of the sendforth event did the right thing to reciprocate a good gesture. Prof. Yahya commended Dr. Ibrahim for being a hardworking staff that does his best. He said any leader that strives for goodness shall have it, he admonished Dr. IBB continues to uphold his values of dedication, hard-work and fear of God. Staff from other colleges and CES expressed their goodwill messages to the Rector.
Dr. Babatunde Salawu in his vote of thanks thanked all the guests for honoring the invitation and prayed to God to take everyone home safely.
