The Kaduna Polytechnic Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has concluded its sports week with a thrilling football match against Water Resources Institute, emerging victorious with a 2-0 score. The Kaduna Polytechnic ASUP Chairman, Comrade Abubakar Jibrin Abdullahi, stated that the ASUP 2025 Sports Week aimed to foster unity and promote health among staff through physical activities.
“We decided to use this period to come together, play, and exercise after rigorous academic activities, ensuring members are fit for the ongoing academic session,” Abdullahi said. The sports week featured various events, including a walk, volleyball, seminar presentations on nutrition, and indoor games.
The Chairman highlighted the winners of different events, including the Egg Game, Bottle Race, 100m Race, Whot Game, Ludo, Table Tennis, and Chess Game. Comrade Abubakar called on all ASUP staff to incorporate exercise into their routine for their well-being and appealed to the Kaduna Polytechnic Sports Director to utilize sports as a means of building peace and unity among staff.
Comrade Jibril Bajeh, the highest medalist of the ASUP 2025 Sports Week and Publicity Secretary of the Union, expressed satisfaction with his remarkable success and advised members to continue exercising for good health and sound well-being. He emphasized that the event serves as a motivational spirit for them to prioritize their health.

- Egg Game: Itodor (1st), Charles (2nd)
- Female Egg Race: Jummai Umar (1st), Hauwa (2nd)
- Bottle Race: Abdullahi (1st), Femi Daramola (2nd)
- 100m Race: Itodor (1st), Charles (2nd)
- Whot Game: Baje won against Imam
- Ludo (Female): Joy won against Madinat Musa
- Table Tennis: Sunday Ugochi won against Charles Ofoji
- Chess Game: Engineer Habib (1st), Engineer Musa Bala (2nd)
