Hard work speaks for itself. In less than seven months since her appointment in November 2024 to lead the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI), Kaduna, Prof. Sadiya Sani-Daura’s commitment and hard work have illuminated the NTI institute. The people within the Board and those outside now see a ray of hope in the future of the giant NTI.
With a strong background in English and Library Studies from the prestigious Bayero University, Prof. Hajia Sadiya Sani-Daura has taken the NTI to a new level of progress, aligning with the institution’s vision and mission. As the first female leader of NTI, she has broken new ground and unveiled a plan for reformation and teachers’ talent endowment for quality education.
In just seven months of her leadership, a hope has been rekindled, a vision set on the right path, and a mission embarked upon to make a difference. Prof. Sadiya has replaced the moribund server with a cloud-based server for efficiency and productivity. The server had been grounded for about three semesters, but she revived it and restored the data. This commitment has attracted more applicants, and the school is getting increased enrollment.
Part of her notable achievements includes the installation of solar systems at the Directorate and Liaison Office in Abuja, restructuring and remodeling of the institute’s organogram, and inaugurating a standing committee for quality service delivery. In another ground breaking, the NTI will create study centers in all 774 local governments in Nigeria to enhance efficiency and yield better results of service.
The NTI is smoothly bouncing back to life and its planned position with Prof. Sadiya’s focused commitment. The Director/Chief Executive appealed for diversification of education funding to make the sector viable, emphasizing the need to support teachers as agents of social change. Without doubt, a difference is visible in NTI, and a direction is set for prosperity, aligning with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Tinubu’s government.

I want to bring to the notice of the director general of NTI that, the original certificates of Ekiti State graduates of the institute has not been given to any of them since 2017.
The coordinator is not showing much concern about it.
We want the director general, Prof Sadiya Sani-Daura to use her good offices to make the certificates available. Many of her graduated students need the certificates for promotions at work.
The Prof should stop people that want to destroy her good efforts in Ekiti State.
