The Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo, Gombe State, has appointed Mrs. Eldah Epriam Buba as its first female Rector.
The Polytechnic Public Relations Officer, Umaru D. Yusuf, announced the historic appointment in a statement issued in Gombe.
The statement also announced that the institution’s governing council appointed Musa A. Saleh as Registrar, Abdulhamid Abubakar as Bursar, Mustapha Jumare as Librarian, Kabiru Abubakar Yahya as Director of Academic Planning, and Abeneza O. Tiklak as Director of Physical Planning.
It added that the appointments followed the expiration of the tenure of the previous management team.
The new Rector is a 48-year-old scholar with a master’s degree in Tourism Management from the University of Surrey, the United Kingdom. She is currently pursuing her PhD in the same discipline at Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti.
