Dr. Ishaq Idris Guibi: The doyen of knowledge at Kadpoly and NOUN

PhD Language Arts (Hausa); M.A Nigerian African languages (Hausa); Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) ; and B.A (Hausa), Ishaq Idris Guibi has become the shining academic armour of our time, and become the light of knowledge in Kaduna Polytechnic to his mentees.

Dr. Guibi is a Lecturer in the Department of Languages of the Colleges of Administrative Studies and Social Sciences of Kaduna Polytechnic from 2014 to date. As a Lecturer in the serving Department of the great Kaduna Polytechnic is equally a highly sought after Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication Kaduna Polytechnic from 2017 to date. He is a highly resource facilitator in the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) from 2024 to date.

As a versatile personality who is passionate about journalism carved many areas of informing and educating people.

Dr. Guibi transited from being a highly committed classroom teacher to a veteran journalist, a highly skilled lecturer, a highly sought after media consultant of reckoning, an educationist per excellence, and a Translator with distinctions. In addition, as a versatile scholar with distinctions he is a working encyclopedia of Language Arts with specialization in Hausa education. A highly revered pundit in Hausa Language. A precious asset as well as a highly sought after scholar of journalism.

Dr Guibi is a veteran broadcaster who” specializes “in both Radio and TV broadcasting. He is a veteran producer and a presenter in both TV and Radio programmes. He is equally a veteran producer in News and Current Affairs in both TV and Radio programmes. He was an excellent Programmes Manager of Spider FM of Kaduna Polytechnic. He was the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Kaduna Hausa News Translator/Newscaster. He was a staff of Kaduna State Media Corporation from 1994 -1997. He was a staff of K.S.T.V./K.S.M.C.Radio/ Capital TV 1997- 2013 as Artiste Translator, Newscaster producer , and presenter. He was a staff of Hausa Ba dabo ba (Taskira) Capital Television/Kaduna State Television from 2010 – 2013. Hausa Teacher Gyara Kayanka Karama F.M Radio Nigeria Kaduna from 2010 -2014.

Dr. Guibi is a Media consultant per excellence. He was a Hausa Consultant on Kibiya programme of Hausa Service from 2010-2015. A Hausa Consultant/ Trainer Newage Network Kaduna 2009-2010. A Hausa Consultant/Trainer Nigerian Television Authority Kaduna Centre 2011. A Hausa Consultant/Trainer Liberty F.M Radio Kaduna 2012. A Hausa Consultant / Trainer Radio Nigeria Kaduna 2012. A Hausa Consultant/ Trainer Kaduna State Media Corporation Radio 2012 , a Hausa Consultant/Trainer DITV Alheri Radio Kaduna 2014 and a Hausa Trainer for News Translator of Radio Nigeria Kaduna 2015. Hired by both several local and international organizations. He is BBC Hausa Artiste Translator from 2020 to Date. Hausa Translator (VENDOR) with Transperfect, United States of America. Hausa Translator (VENDOR) with XENE, Lagos Nigeria. External translators in BBC Hausa Services. He was a member of the BBC Hausa Essay Writing competition (Hikayata 2020) Judging Panel and One of the three members of the BBC Hausa Essay Writing Competition (Hikayata 2021) Judging Panel. Casual Translator and Newscaster DITV Alheri Radio Kaduna 2013 to date.
