In the College of Administrative Studies and Social Sciences (CASSS), Department of Social Sciences, Kaduna Polytechnic (Kadpoly) lives an academic guru of excellence and refute.
Dr. Ogu Musa Akwe is a simple, sound, calm brilliant, eloquent and an ocean of knowledge sprinkle water to the younger ones.
Dr. Ogu started his lecturing service career with Kaduna Polytechnic on the 8th March, 2010, gradually moving from the tank of Assistant Lecturer to the position of Senior Lecturer (SL) and flying with colors to the rank of Principal Lecturer (PL).
Dr. Musa is now the Head of the Department of Social Sciences with membership affiliation with Nigerian Economic Society (NES) and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
Through the journey of his service as the staff of Kaduna Polytechnic, Dr. Ogu was appointed the Sectional Head, Economics in 2018, member of Environmental and Sanitation Committee in 2022 and the Head of the Department of Social Sciences in 2024.
As a committed and industrious staff, Dr. Musa rendered community services to the Kaduna Polytechnic Muslim Ummah, Masaba Community Forum, College of Basic Studies, Kaduna State University, KASU.
Dr. Musa has attended the following institutions and had graduated with flying colors of adoration:
Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University, Katsina in 2018, Kaduna State University in 2014,
Nasarawa State University, Keffi in 2003, College of education Akwanga in 1995, Government Secondary School Doma in 1990 and Doma South Primary School Doma in 1982.
Dr. Ogu has obtained the following certificates:
PhD Economics in 2023, M.Sc. Economics in 2018, B.Sc. (ED) Economics, 2005, Diploma in Data Processing in 2006, Nigerian Certificate in Education in 1997, Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 1993,
First School Leaving Certificate(FLSC) in 1987.
As a reader, Dr. Ogu had so far authored three academic text books and one is sponsored by Tetfund. The books are:
