I am writing to bring to your attention a pressing matter affecting some civil servants under the Ministry of Education in Kaduna State. Despite their dedication and hard work in teaching students, their monthly salaries have been tampered with for over a year now.
Some of these teachers have not received their salaries at all, while others have had to wait for three months or more without pay. This has led to a situation where teachers are forced to beg for their rightful dues, with some having to rely on petty jobs, while some have turned to beggars seeking for assistance from individuals who can assist them. Others are left helpless, with no idea how to navigate the system and get their salaries.
To effectively address the pressing matter of delayed and denied salaries of civil servants under the Ministry of Education in Kaduna State, I strongly recommend that Your Excellency sets up a committee to investigate and resolve this issue.
The committee would help uncover the root causes of the delay and denial of salaries, identify those responsible, and bring them to justice. This would ensure accountability and transparency in the payment process.
Furthermore, the committee would provide a platform for affected teachers and civil servants to share their experiences and challenges, ensuring their voices are heard and their concerns addressed.
By setting up this committee, Your Excellency would demonstrate a commitment to defending and protecting the rights of citizens of Kaduna State, as sworn. This would also go a long way in motivating teachers to continue delivering quality education to students.
The welfare of teachers and other civil servants under the Ministry of Education is crucial to the well-being of our state. I believe that your timely intervention will go a long way in addressing this issue and ensuring that our teachers are motivated to continue delivering quality education to our students.
