Council demands Rector, Deputy Bursar, Acting Director of HAFED Poly Kazaure to step down over misappropriation of funds

In an effort to conduct an investigation into allegations of misappropriation and management of contracts funds at Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic (HAFED), Kazaure, the Governing Council of the institution has requested that the Rector of the Polytechnic, the former Acting Director of Procurement, Physical Planning, and the Deputy Bursar step aside from any function within the polytechnic for a comprehensive investigation.

The Governing Council made this known through the Registrar of the Institution, who also serves as the Secretary of the Governing Council of HAFED.

In a letter, the Secretary to the Council wrote that the council was displeased with their findings regarding the alleged corruption and misappropriation of contracts funds within the Institution.

“The Governing Council at its 40th Regular Meeting Held on the 13th &14th March, 2025, observed with dismay, misappropriation of funds, and irregularities in the award and execution of projects in the Polytechnic. In view of this, Council resolved that the Rector, Former Acting Director of Procurement, Physical Planning, and Deputy Bursar in Charge Salaries should step aside with immediate effect to pave way for comprehensive investigations on the matter.”
