The Founder, CEO, and Group Chairman of A.A. Rano Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, has donated 15 hectares of land in Rano town for the construction of the Federal Polytechnic Rano.

The donation follows President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval of the establishment of the polytechnic.
The donation was announced during a visit by Honourable Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, the member representing Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
According to Honourable Rurum, the land provided by Alhaji Rano is sufficient to accommodate all the necessary structures for the polytechnic.
“A.A. Rano has also pledged to build a perimeter wall around the proposed site,” Honourable Rurum stated. “This institution will bring immense benefits to the people of Kano State and the northern region at large.”
He acknowledged President Tinubu’s decision to approve the establishment of the polytechnic, describing it as a response to numerous requests from across the country.
“The President expressed his delight with the generous land donation, which demonstrates the commitment of Kano’s people to national development,” Rurum added.
Umar Yunusa Danburan, Chairman of the Rano, Bunkure, and Kibiya Development Association, and Senator U.K. Umar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, described the polytechnic project as essential. “This initiative will significantly contribute to the growth and development of the northern region,” they noted.
In his response, Alhaji Auwalu Rano expressed gratitude for the visit and reaffirmed his support for initiatives that improve education and infrastructure.
“I am humbled by this opportunity to contribute to the development of our community and the education sector,”A.A. Rano said.
