In a bid to promote academic excellence and integrity, staff members of the Polymer and Textile Department, Kaduna Polytechnic (Kadpoly) met with students to discuss effective examination skills and strategies to curb examination malpractices.
The interactive session was well-attended by students both new and continuing aimed to equip them with the necessary skills to excel in their examinations without resorting to examination malpractice.
During the session, staff members shared valuable tips and advised students on how to prepare for exams, manage time, and stay focused under pressure.
According to the Acting Head of the Department, Dr. Amira D. Isa said, “We want to ensure that our students are well-prepared for their exams and can perform to the best of their abilities without cheating. We believe that with the right skills and mindset, our students can achieve academic success without compromising their integrity.”
The speakers at the event emphasized the importance of originality and authenticity in academic work particularly during students project work
The students appreciated the staff’s efforts to support their academic success.
“This session was really helpful, I feel more confident now about tackling my exams without cheating according to many students that attended the four hour party during the tea break,” said the Classrep of HND2, Abdulhaqq Onimisi.
The Department promised to support students develop good examination skills and maintain academic integrity.
With this initiative, the Polymer and Textile Department is taking a proactive stance against examination malpractice and promoting a culture of excellence and honesty among its students.
This measure is proactive and it’s better than the reactive approach. Well done to the staffs of Polymer and Textile Technology department
