The institution’s Governing Council has picked Prof Adamu Ahmed as the new Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU).
Ahmed teaches at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the institution.
A one-time Director of the institution’s Directorate of University Advancement, Prof Ahmed is the current Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Education, Kano.
Prof Ahmed’s appointment was announced at 6:15 am today (Wednesday, 5th February 2025) during the 209th (Special) Council meeting presided over by its Chairman, Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, CFR.
