Prof. Bugaje to talk on reshaping technical education, on NTA, Tuesday @10PM

The Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Professor Idris Muhammad Bugaje will feature on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) on the program Reshaping Democracy focusing on the topic,” Reshaping Technical and Vocational Education for Manpower Development.”

The program will come up on Tuesday, 27th August 2024, 10 PM live on the NTA screen.

Professor Idris Muhammad Bugaje has been the Executive Secretary of the NBTE appointed by the former President of Nigeria in 2021 based on capacity and testimony of excellent service.

Bugaje’s vision for Nigeria has been on how to improve skills among the citizens of the country to create opportunities and enhance Nigeria’s development.

As the Executive Secretary of the NBTE, Bugaje has led in the creation of the NBTE zonal offices in the six geopolitical zones of the country to enhance efficiency, quick service delivery and connectivity for productive manpower.

Meanwhile, the Bugaje led-administration launched and established the Sub-Saharan African Apprenticeship and Stakeholders Network (SASASNET) to improve African skills potential and harness the African skills for wealth creation and employment.

With much ado, Professor Bugaje has established the NBTE Centre of Excellence, while in just few days the NBTE Board was incorporate into the world skills hub as Nigeria will now participate in skills competitions, training, mentorship, and scholarships.

To make skills productive and to integrate the informal sector, the NBTE introduced a mandatory National Qualification Framework (NSQF) in polytechnics and other technical institutions.

With giant stride in upgrading the NBTE, updating and producing new curricula in the technical education, Professor Idris Muhammad Bugaje is doing much in the evolution and revolving the technical, vocational and informal sector in Nigeria.
