Senate approves bill to establish Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe,

The Provost of the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe, Alhaji Hamisu Yusuf Yelwa, acknowledges the Senate for its one-day public hearing on a bill for an act to establish the Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe, held in the Senate Hall, Abuja, on Monday, May 13th, 2024.

In a statement by Jamilu Sani Tsafe, the Information Officer of the College, it was emphasized that the establishment of the institution in the state would promote research, training, teaching of health workers’ extension services, and training of manpower for all health services for Zamfara State indigenes, the North, and the country at large.

He added that the establishment of the university would further support the efforts and initiatives of the Zamfara State Government by providing an advanced teaching and learning environment that would improve the capacity of our health workers and enhance our economic potentials.

He also thanked the state government for its kind support and cooperation given to the college, especially the total renovation of the college.

He therefore acknowledged the effort of the Senator representing Zamfara Central Senatorial District, Senator Ikea Aliyu Bilbis, for bringing the motion to the Senate for mere approval.

Those who witnessed the occasion included the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Nakwada; Prof. Kabiru Sulaiman Tsafe; Prof. Lawal Sulaiman Bilbo’s; Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Chafe; Prof. Shehu Ismail Chafe; Prof. Yusuf Muhammad Adamu, among many others.
