Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe gives N100,000, wrappers to each of the 195 victims of Yobe State University female hostel fire incident as part of an effort to fastract the recovery from trauma of fire disaster and resume full academic activities, today 17th February 2024 to 195 female students affected by the recent fire disaster that engulfed girls hostel in Yobe State University.

Each of the 195 students recieved 100,000 Naira cash and 3 Wrappers.
This is in addition to earlier support provided in terms of Fast Food, NFIs, Sanitary and Hygiene kits as well as Free 3 Square meal for 3 weeks while the University management is intensifying effort to find a new hostel for the affected students.
All the affected students are hosted in a temporary accommodation with access to basic services, safety and with diginity.
The support was delivered to the victims by Yobe State Emergency Management Agency SEMA led by Dr. Mohammed Goje.
